With the exception of a few works, all of Artist Christina Carmel’s original paintings will be available as wall art prints. These prints will vary in size from itty bitty (6x8) to almost full-sized renderings (36x48). On top of size, there are many choices when it comes to the type of material you decide to print the painting on. Below is a list and a brief explanation of the types of prints available.
Because all of my paintings are originally created on canvas, these canvas prints will look very similar to the original works. The painting you choose will be printed onto high quality canvas and stretched onto a wooden frame. Canvas prints have thick sides (1.5 inches for gallery wrap) and (5/8 inches for museum wrap). You will have the choice of black sides, white sides or to have the print extend around the sides. Canvas prints will come “ready to hang” with pre-attached hanging wire, mounting hooks and nails. There is an option to choose a frame for an additional cost, however, all canvas prints will look awesome with our without framing.
Framed prints are really fun because you have the opportunity to choose between 37 frames and hundreds of color combinations for matting. You also have the opportunity to choose the type of paper will be used for your print. Framed prints come equipped with all hardware needed for hanging.
Classic prints are printed onto acid-free papers. These prints come rolled into a tube and include a 1-inch white border to allow for further matting and framing if you like. The only difference between art prints and poster prints is the size.
Metal prints are printed directly onto a 1/16’ piece of aluminum. The glossy nature of the aluminum really compliments the rich colors and makes for a stunning work of art. The metal prints include a 3/4 inch wooden frame on the back of the metal, which offsets it a bit from the wall and creates a modern look. Metal prints come with attached hanging wire and are ready to be hung immediately.
Acrylic prints are a bit lesser known and are one of the pricier print types, however, they are truly stunning and definitely make a statement. With acrylic prints, the painting is printed on the back of a 1/4” piece of clear acrylic. Viewers see the painting through the acrylic, making a crystal clear and crisp image. Acrylic prints come equipped with two different mounting options for you to choose from. You can choose four aluminum mounting posts for each corner of the print, offsetting it from the wall, or hanging wire on the back of the print.
Wood prints bring a nice homey and rustic feel to your prints. Wood prints are printed directly onto a 1/4” thick piece of thick maple wood. The sides are left blank allowing for the natural wood to peek through. Like all prints, wood prints come with all the necessary hardware for easy hanging.
